Hormone Replacement Therapy -
Step 1 (Blood Work)

The first step of our hormone replacement therapy program is preliminary blood work. You will not be able to see an HealthGains doctor for evaluation until you complete this step.

We understand that sometimes it’s impossible to come in and have blood drawn during work hours. For Florida clients who reside in Miami-Dade and Broward, HealthGains provides a mobile phlebotomy service. Our certified phlebotomist will come to your home or office to collect your blood specimen. Just choose the time and day, and they will be there. No lines or hassle.

Two types of blood work are offered for your convenience:

The Comprehensive Package

The comprehensive lab panel is the bare minimum blood work we require for you to see our doctors. This includes tests that check for cortisol, testosterone and luteinizing hormone.

The Executive Package

The executive lab package goes well beyond basic screening. Everything your physician needs to start creating your personalized hormone therapy plan is covered in this blood work. We highly recommend all of our potential patients to opt for this package when starting HRT.

Can’t decide between the two packages? It’s OK. We have hormone specialists standing by to answer your questions and break down what’s included in each lab test. Terms like Binding Protein 3 and Homocysteine Plasma can be confusing, so we want to make sure you understand what each package entails.

Once you’ve had the lab work done, we’ll help arrange a consultation with one of our doctors to continue the process. To get your lab work scheduled, please give us a call today or fill out our contact form. You can reach us Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. EST to 6 p.m. EST. We will also arrange for mobile phlebotomy if needed.

*Disclaimer: The results described may vary based on a variety of factors.

No prescription will be provided unless a clinical need exists based on required lab work, physician consultation, physical examination and current medical history. Please note, agreeing to lab work and physical exam does not guarantee a finding of clinical necessity neither a prescription for hormone therapy.
