The five vitamins are – thiamin (men: 1.2 mg, women: 1.1 mg), pantothenic acid (5 mg for both), riboflavin (men: 1.3 mg, women: 1.1 mg), biotin (30 mg for both), and niacin (men: 16 mg, women: 14 mg). We also need 1.3 mg of vitamin B6, and 2.4 mg of B-12, which play a major role in formation of red blood cells.

Fat-soluble vitamins – Vitamin A, K, E and D are fat soluble vitamins, as the body absorbs them and stores excess of these vitamins in liver and fat tissues. Men need 900 mg of Vitamin A, and 120 mg of Vitamin K, while women need 700mg of vitamin a and 90 mg of vitamin K. The necessary intake of Vitamin E should be 15 mg each day and Vitamin D should be 5 mg, for both men and women.
