Question:

Submitted on June 14th, 2013 by Bobby I have a very physical job that has taken it's toll on my L5/S1 to the point that I'm in constant moderate pain and every so often, when my back goes "out," I'm on the shelf for about 2 weeks. It's gotten to a point where I'm no longer comfortable in the gym. I was wondering basically if a 34 year old guy with a bad back could prolong his time before surgery or perhaps avoid it all together with your hormones. Please (Please!) let me know if you think this could in fact be an option for me.

Answer:

Our hormones are not a treatment for, nor repairative for degenerative disc disease as your injuries are not as a result of low hormone levels. The growth hormone will promote anti-inflammation, but will not "fix" or prolong the situation, unfortunately.
