Bryan P. Age 53 (Client Review)
I have been on my first cycle of HRT therapy since May of 2010 and I can attest to several positive health issues associated with the treatment. Prior to the therapy, I was depressed, lethargic, and irritable.
At work I was functioning by sheer force of will. At a physiological level, my cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar were seriously high. I was borderline type 2 diabetic and my weight topped the bathroom scale > 300 lbs. My local physician prescribed cholesterol-lowering drugs, suggested blood pressure medication and suggested a change of diet with more exercise.
Though well intentioned, after two years, I exhibited no improvements. I continued to drift deeper toward the stereotype of an obese, middle-aged male exhibiting high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and little energy to live life more fully. Essentially, at age 53, I was feeling burned out and used up. To remedy the situation, I conducted some serious investigations and consultations to salvage my health. I strongly believed I needed to get ahead of these health issues or I wasn’t going to make it beyond age 65.
Looking at my symptoms, I was guided toward a low testosterone, metabolic syndrome, male andropause diagnosis. Following up on possible treatments, I contacted AAG for blood test evaluations. Low testosterone and a major vitamin D deficiency were identified. An AAG associated physician was assigned and a treatment schedule was prescribed. At the end of this first treatment cycle, my blood sugar is down to the normal mean; cholesterol is normal; blood pressure is near normal; body weight is down at least 40 lbs and I have lost at least 6” at the waist.
Equally important, I have the energy to engage in aerobics and weight lifting--something I have not performed in several years due to a lack of energy and focus. Intimacy with my wife has improved and increased. We again enjoy taking walks, exercising and engaging in conversation without me becoming impatient or irritated. My athletic build has returned and her recent observation is that I have not looked this good in a long time. I am confident the therapy has reduced my likelihood for heart disease, early stroke, heart attack and/or diabetes, a historic health issue within my family.
Discussions and communications with the AAG team have been educational and beneficial. By nature I have an investigative personality and the desire to understand how treatments, environment, diet, etc. affect my health and wellbeing.
My Patient Care Specialist is well informed and eager to respond to my questions. My AAG doctor, the prescribing physician, is also open and eager respond to questions and discussions regarding my health related issues. AAG has a great team here!
Attached to this email you will find three photos (Photos withheld): July 2010, prior to treatment weight at >300lbs; Aug., 2011, weight 280 lbs; Nov. 6, 2011 weight 265 lbs. As a satisfied client, I feel I have become an advocate for this therapy and the professionals comprising the HRT community who have had the good ethics to move this therapy forward.
The positive support and interaction with the AAG staff has assisted in improving my health issues and benefited my quality of life. Profound and positive effects have resulted from the therapy and I look forward to additional improvements.
